RSM helps customers mitigate the risks associated with stored liquid fuel. Specifically, fuel that’s used for critical diesel applications.
In the event that you have an emergency, are planning routine maintenance or require specialist testing, then RSM can help navigate your business through the journey, and the risks associated with all aspects of the critical uptime space.
We offer a range of services which notably includes a 24hr national spill response service, UK wide emergency fuel deliveries, on site and real-time fuel testing, waste fuel uplift services, fuel polishing, tank testing, tank decommissioning and tank cleaning.
Concerned your business isn’t compliant with the most recent stored fuel regulations?
If you have doubts around whether or not your business is compliant when it comes to the most recent oil storage regulations then RSM can help. We have a demonstrable history of delivering tailored solutions to environments with the highest safety standards.
If your fuel isn’t within specification, will there be a problem? Do you have to get it tested?
Until you have visibility of what’s going on inside your heating system, generator or stored fuel tank then it isn’t possible to know whether the fuel is within specification or not. The type of testing and delivery of testing is crucial when trying to establish any associated risk. RSM can help you make an informed decision by giving you information on fuel testing and the solutions that may become applicable.
Legally, do you have to get your tank tested?
When it comes to stored fuel environments, every situation is different. However, the Environment Agency is very clear when it states that you must test your tank “every five years if it contains mechanical joints”. So yes, tank testing and leak detection are a legal requirement. The Environment Agency also states “you could be fined or prosecuted if you don’t follow the requirements in this guide. The Environment Agency can also serve an anti-pollution works notice to make you bring your oil store up to legal standards”. RSM can help support any UK business meet the Environment Agency requirements stipulated within the most recent Oil Storage Regulations.
